Today's assignment asks you to reflect on the content and nature of our course by analyzing the Wikipedia article on New Media Studies and proposing a comprehensive plan for making it better. First, watch this screencast together. Then, read the Wikipedia article on New Media Studies carefully. Read the discussion page carefully as we;;. Take a look at the history page to see when and how frequently the article has been revised.

Now consider these questions as you think about your improvement plan:

1. How would you revise what's already here to make the article better? What would you add, what would you delete, what would you change?
2. How would you organize the article as it got bigger?
3. What do your experience with class and the readings so far suggest as far as deeper analysis and more comprehensive coverage are concerned?
4. How frequently has the article been revised? Do any controversial points emerge in the discussion?
5. Given Wikipedia's policies (e.g. NPOV, notability, etc.--look these up for a complete list), what would you need to be careful about as you revised the article?
